My May Flower

It's been awhile...again. I feel like I'm always apologizing on here for being such a slacker! This time I was threatened that someone was going to call the blog police on me. We definitely can't have that happening. So here I am, back and ready to update!

First off, Kenna is growing like a weed. She is 7 months old and full of sass! She's got 2 teeth on the bottom and I must say, she handled popping those guys through like a champ! Okay, minus one AWFUL night of her waking up screaming every hour but other than that, not too terrible. And can I just say, I am SO damn glad we don't remember that stage of our babyhood, it looks painful :(

Next up, we started solids! First was sweet potatoes which happens to be a favorite of both Carson and I. Coincidence? I think not. Well, it was not so much a favorite of our offspring. She gagged and puked everywhere. So we tried again...and again...and again, a few days later. Still no bueno. And I thought I was hot shit using my baby bullet and making them from scratch. (Sigh) However, she totally redeemed herself with scarfing down the next three foods I shoveled into her mouth (applesauce, green beans and carrots). That's my girl! And yes, you bet your booty I'll be trying sweet p's again.

Green beans...I know it doesn't look like she likes
them but I swear she does!

Okay, this is so disgusting I know! But I just couldn't
resist. She is for sure going to kill me someday.

Translation: "I looooove CARROTS!"

We went to Bend the end of April for our niece's first birthday. It was a blast seeing our families (my parents came over from Portland and met us there) and seeing the little nuggets interact. It's going to be so much fun seeing them grow up together, being just 5 months apart...maybe I won't feel the same way when they're 15, being mouthy, little shit head teenagers and sneaking out together...but for now it's cute.

Happy hour with Dad and Papa

Kenna loves her Papa

 And Grandpa

 Bath babes!

The girls' faces in this one are just plain hilarious.

Birthday girl, Addie

Oh you bet we did :)

They look thrilled right? Papa may actually be asleep in this one :)

 Kenna with her Grandma

and her Nana

This past weekend, a girlfriend of mine got hitched! So we took Kenna to her first wedding and she DIDN'T embarrass the shit out of me during the ceremony! Hallelujah! She was such a good girl and she looked so fancy in her little summer dress and cardi. Some friends offered to come pick her up from the reception early and babysit while we (attempted to) party it up. Yeah, we were definitely home by 10:30. There's just something about the thought of a hangover with a 7 month old that doesn't sound too appealing to me. Ugh, no thanks, not worth it.

And let's see...on a different subject, other than my daughter, we are pretty much all settled into our new home. We have had a lot of little projects (painting, updating doorknobs and hinges, adding back splash, a new counter and hardware to the kitchen etc. etc.). And I had a few requests for pictures so here are a few I recently snapped:

And as usual, I'll leave you with some of my favorites from the month! Happy Mother's Day to all you mamas/soon to be mamas out there :)

Kenna is legit OBSESSED with ceiling fans...when
she's been a good girl, we reward her with a very
slow stroll through the ceiling fan section at Lowe's :)
