Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! We sure did! We took Kenna on her first trip to Nana and Papa's house in Bend. It was an absolute blast especially because my parents were able to make it from Portland and Kenna and cousin Addie got to spend their very first Christmas together! Oh and a bonus??? It was a true, WHITE Christmas....and, if you know me, you know that I was practically bursting at the seams with excitement and doing a little jig with everything step. It was amazing. And of course we have our yearly traditions of Christmas Eve candlelight service, Chinese food for dinner and then home to wait for Santa...and some more wine. It was such a magical, beautiful holiday. I couldn't have asked for a better first Christmas for my sweet little babe.
The festivities kicked off with a football party with some friends and family to watch BSU play in their bowl game. Babies everywhere!

WTF? :(
Our sweet girl has quickly become the center of our universe. She takes our breath away with her smiles and laughs and reminds us everyday of the miracle she has been in our lives. She has pretty much been sleeping 10-12 hours a night for a few months now...minus the WEEK before I had to go back to work when she caught a little cold and started teething...NOT fun. Kenna LOVES bath time and bedtime and HATES nap time and tummy time. She wakes up super happy and is really starting to love the sound of her own voice. It's so much fun to watch her explore and discover new things. I am really loving this age...it sure as HELL beats the newborn days.
Parenthood is completely indescribable. It is filled with moments of frustration and tears followed by moments of happiness and laughter. I find myself staring at my child and wondering how I created something so perfect and why I was chosen to be her mom. As much as I want to freeze this moment in time, to keep her perfectly small and so incredibly innocent, I cannot wait to watch her grow; to watch her discover this big, crazy world; to watch her find herself and discover who she is and who she will one day become. My daughter has taught me a lot in the few short months she has been on this earth. She has taught me to love my husband more than I thought possible because he is her dad. She has taught me that life is too short to stress about the nonsense and to pause multiple times throughout the day to appreciate my life and the people in it. She has taught me to never record my mom voice in videos because it's completely nauseating. She has taught me what it means to love another person so much that you feel like you could physically explode. She has taught me that a poopy diaper after a constipation spell is one of the most exciting, proud moments in motherhood. She has taught me that there is no greater force in this world than the love and bond you share with your family. She is one amazing little girl.
For now I will leave you with a few of my favorites from the last month or so :)
