29 Weeks

Fun facts of the week:

-Kenna is quite the little acrobat in there! (I like to think more like ballerina, Carson thinks more like soccer player) She started moving quite a bit more this past week. Watching your abdomen move on it's own and knowing someone else is controlling those sudden little jolts and turns is pretty unbelievable.

-I had two dinners last night. One of which was propped perfectly on my belly while sitting on the couch.

-My boob leaked through my shirt. Didn't know that was supposed to happen just yet. Oh the joy.

-Got to spend the weekend at the coast with 9 of my besties from Portland. High school girls reunion 2012 was awesome this year even though 2 of us were knocked up. (Pictures to come next week)

Our girl is the size of one these this week:
(it's a butternut squash FYI)

Yes, I am purposefully cropping more and more of my
arm out of the picture each week

28 Weeks-Mini Post

Things you realize by the 28th week of pregnancy:

-Shirts that you originally bought while not being pregnant because they were cute but that you never wore because they made you look pregnant, work really well when you ARE pregnant. Hmm, makes sense I guess.

-It's totally worth your money to invest in new scrub pants to avoid that awkward "busting of the ass seams sound" (3 times) in front of your patient while positioning them for their mammogram. AND being a million times more comfortable...totally worth it. But they ARE way too damn expensive. Way.

-Floaties are the best treat for a pregnant belly. I got to lay on my stomach in the lake for the first time in about 6 months. Uh-mazing.

-That you are less than 3 months away from bringing another human into the world....and then the anxiety sets in.

Here is our girl's latest head shot at 28 weeks. Can't wait to kiss those adorable lips!

Family Camp

I got to spend last weekend with the BEST family ever...mine. (plus Jake, Megan and Coop, of course)
We had an awesome time at Owyhee Reservoir. The Big Taylors and Pennocks came from Bend and my parents came all the way from Portland. It was an incredibly long drive for them but it was definitely worth it!

We started the "family camp" tradition a couple years ago and each year we strive for a good family pic. Here's what we ended up with this year...

(Please note: that is NOT my stomach popping through
my tank top, it's a skin colored stripe okay?---
genius designers at Target...not)

Pretty good right? Well, minus one little detail...

Yep, this guy. My dad.

He was occupied out on the lake with this...

And here comes picture overload.

Love this view

 Proud Auntie and Uncle

Aaaaand, for all you that are confused with how far along I am, let me clarify. Because I am slightly a slacker, I have been posting the chalkboard picture a little late each week. I am actually 28 weeks pregnant. And let me tell you, it is starting to fly by! I can't believe 2 of my FAVORITE times of the year are right around the corner (football season and holiday season), and add a BABY to that?! I sure am one lucky girl.
Happy Third Trimester to us!

Tiny pocket t-shirt?
Check.

Weak Sauce

Thought it would never happen huh? Well, yep it did. I totally slacked last week. And I am royally pissed at myself for it. The chalkboard was just not top on my priority list for multiple reasons:

a.) First, and probably most importantly, no cute outfits. Everything I owned was really annoying me and of course, none of it fit. So naturally I rotated between uncomfortable, tight scrubs during the day and yoga/stretch pants with thick waistbands and t-shirts that I am realizing do NOT fit anymore. Take Exhibit A for instance:

My current view as I blog.
Real attractive.

b.) My friend Krissy was in town from Portland for a couple days. Enough said.
c.) The creative juices were not flowing last week, meaning the chalkboard would be doomed and would terribly lack in the cute factor. I decided no-chalkboard was better than lame-chalkboard.

Okay excuse after excuse, I know! After all that, still ended up with a semi cute outfit and this still pretty lame chalkboard with combined weeks...who does that?!

Name one thing that makes this chalkboard even MORE lame than I originally thought?...oh how about the fact that it doesn't even say "WEEKS!" Definitely JUST realized that. I can't believe I'm even posting this disaster.

Speaking of toes...

And more belly fun

Stretch pants, of course

My belly button is as wide as a sand dollar

As I am finishing this post, I just got off the phone with my mother. They participated in their annual neighborhood garage sale over the weekend. She just revealed a little tid bit that now has me on the verge of tears...okay not real tears but please just imagine my pain.
Let me back up just a bit to give you the FULL effect; okay, remember THESE guys?

Yeah, well my collection was more along these lines...

Okay, I might be exaggerating a little. But this is not far from the truth. Look I even found a picture of me with my troll collection!...

HAHA! Just kidding, this isn't really me but, metaphorically, this is how I felt about my trolls. I loved them so much that I would have definitely set them up under a willow tree in the middle of the woods and professionally posed with them if given the opportunity.
Unfortunately, I was never given that opportunity because just as my troll collection was hitting it's prime, some other 9 year old snatch stole them from me...or so I thought.

So you're caught up on my L.F.T.? (Love For Trolls)

Yeah well Mom just told me, with this disclaimer, "I really shouldn't be telling you this but if there is one thing you'd be really pissed that we sold what would it be?"
Uh huh, yep, you got it. The line that followed will forever haunt me..."Dad found your troll collection somewhere and we sold them all!" NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
You're right mom, you should have never told me. Payback's a bitch...

Love you Mom :)

24 Weeks

Sooo, someone (Drysdale), commented on how cute I looked when I actually "dressed up" for last week's post and switched it up from my normal "stretch pants and tiny pocket tee shirts." Well, Drysdale, I can't bear to ever disappoint you again in my frumpy outfit choice, so I am turning over a new leaf. I promise to try to look my cutest for the weekly chalkboard pics from here on out! However, tiny pocket t's from Target are my ABSOLUTE favorite (as most of you know and if you don't know, I'm sure you could assume) and because I have them in every color of the rainbow, they will NOT be put into hiding. Sorry...

Did you know that I'm also growing a
baby in my upper arm and in my ass?!

Baby updates:
I'm feeling great! A little tired and a little like a butterball turkey stuffed into Barbie clothes, but otherwise, no complaints here. We've only got 3 1/2 months to go! (which means even less time until Powell--I believe 77 days to be exact) My belly button's starting to freak me out. Most people know this about me but if you don't, belly buttons kind of weird me out. Mine has always been a little tender to the touch and it basically just gives me the willies. And now mine is starting to get shallow...meaning, it's definitely gonna pop out. Yuck. It also doesn't help to walk into the room, all ready to go on hike, with 2 layers of tank tops on and your husband says, "whoa babe! look at your big belly button!" (Clarification: not in the "cute" belly button way but in the "dark, big, scary black hole through your clothes" way.) Kind of like a doughnut hole. Lovely.

Okay and now for Instagram overload...our life lately:

Little's G's new favorite hang out

I wanted to congratulate ALL my girlfriends who are pregnant right now. Turns out, pretty much every single person I know who's knocked up, is having a girl! And I think we can ALL agree, if our girls turn out ANYTHING like we were growing up/ARE NOW, we're in big trouble!

Lately

I am super tired right at this moment but not sleeping because Rob, D and our little niece Addie are on their way from Bend! It feels like Christmas, I'm so excited. I'll try to keep this post interesting but it may just turn into picture overload since my brain is currently non-functional.

Pop Quiz: What is the name of the childcare center at Fred Meyer?
(Carson's answer: 'Freddy Bear's'---incorrect.)
We struggled with this one for a while, so Jake decided to call the store at 11pm. We then discovered  it's called, 'The Fred Meyer Playland.' It's free but you can only leave your child there for an hour. So, naturally, Jake's response to this was, "well what if I shop multiple times day?" To this the employee responded (after being a little thrown off), "um, no we will still only take them for one hour a day." Then he added the only other additional "perk"...sounding VERY accommodating and definitely going for the up sale, "we take children about age 2 up through preschool!".....oh oooookay, so you're saying you watch 2,3 and 4 year olds for strictly one hour a day? SOLD!...yeah right! Needless to say, we are probably the only people in the world to start a discussion about Freddie's ghetto childcare service and then feel the need to call and get ALL the details...just to know.

Where I found my animals the other day...
They're gonna such good big brothers
Love those damn Grinch toes

And week "23" (still a week behind, sorry):
